yes, more ceramics. i can't help it! and there are so many talented ceramists in the vancouver area. heyday designs makes these awesome mason jars out of matte ivory porcelain. perfect as a vase, small storage jar, or just sitting pretty on a shelf.

linen has such a beautiful natural texture, i just love it. i think these small trays by fog linen work would be the perfect perch for my morning tea + scone. they are available in vancouver at orling & wu and provide. which both just happen to have loads of other fabulous goodies, perfect for gift giving. in case anyone was wondering. wink.

speaking of my grey + black wardrobe...i covet this dress by thimble and acorn. it would be perfect with leggings, over jeans as a tunic, with long sleeves underneath, a belt around the middle. very versatile, very cute.

i was reminded of how much i love the ceramic goodies by local company eikcam when i spied them at the one of a kind show last weekend in vancouver. these tiny bud vases are so sweet, with the nest + eggs at the bottom. artist + designer grace lee also had some adorable new bunting vases and plates. i'll take one of each, please!

i love hats. i fell for the gorgeous wildhagen hats at the circle craft fair last month [see here]. i'd love to add this beauty to my hat collection. i think that hit of orangey red is just perfect for winter.

i was reminded of sealmaiden's fun silkscreened tshirts while browsing the elephantine blog the other day. i love this design, with gold ink. the flowing feather motif looks like a necklace of sorts, the perfect little touch. i'd like to add that to my list, please.

i would love love love to find one of cathrine kullberg's norwegian forest lamp shades under my tree on the 25th. wishful thinking, perhaps. i may just have to splurge on one for myself someday. available at huset, along with oodles of other amazingly gorgeous goodies.

ceramic love

the gorgeous, simple shapes and smooth texture of local vancouver ceramist aja billas' stoneware. i adore beautifully shaped, no-frills pottery. this is right up my alley.

somehow i hadn't seen aja's work before got craft this past weekend. not sure how i'd missed it, and also not sure why i didn't scoop some pieces up at the show. her website is under construction, but i can't wait for her shop to open. i will be the first in line.
